Ecological view of the world resonates with evolving science and awareness together

"This attitude, known as reductionism, has been so deeply ingrained in our culture that it has often been identified with the scientific menthod. The other sciences accepted the mechanistic and reductionist views of classical physics as the correct description of reality and modeled their own theories accordingly. Whenever physiologists, sociologistsm or economists wanted to be scientific, they basically turned toward the basic concepts of Newtonian physics. "In the twentieth century, however, physics has gone through several conceptual revolutions that clearly reveal the limitations of the mechanistic worldview and lead to an organic, ecological view of the world which shows great similarities to the views of mystics of all ages and traditions. The universe is no longer seen as a machine, made up of a multitude if separate objects, but appears as a harmonious indivisble whole; a network of dynamic relationships that include the human observer and his or her consciousness in an essential way."
